Ducking Stunts!

Ducking Stunts!

Description

This week I hosted a properly loose open-mic edition with Paul, with plenty of laughs, side roads and listener interaction along the way. We wandered through Paul’s model railway obsession, favourite train layouts, the cost of locos, Hornby memories, railway exhibitions, bike-and-train travel hacks, and the grim state of modern ticketing and rail policy. We also got into a spirited chat about HS2, Great British Railways, continental rail travel, Eurostar, and why so many journeys in Britain feel harder than they ought to.

The standout moment came when Matilda joined us live from Suffolk to share a remarkable experience she had inside Lincoln Cathedral after a heartbreak more than twenty years ago. Her story about seeing an angelic figure, hearing a choir of voices and feeling deeply comforted took the conversation into empathy, intuition, grounding, healing spaces, coincidences, energy, and the strange ways people seem to be guided through life. It turned into one of those classic nights where comedy, railways, personal wisdom and the mystical all ended up in the same room.
