Episode Details

We’re unlocking the archives for this special "From the Vault" episode to revisit one of New Orleans’ most storied and haunted landmarks: the Omni Royal Orleans. Standing on ground once occupied by the antebellum St. Louis Exchange Hotel—marked by devastating fires, war, and the grim reality of slave auctions beneath its grand rotunda—this French Quarter icon carries centuries of restless energy. Allen looks back at the hotel’s darkest moments, including its chilling link to the infamous 2006 murder-suicide, alongside its legendary supernatural residents. From the attentive phantom maid who still tucks in guests on the second floor to the tech-draining spirits of Room 531, revisit this classic deep dive into a corner of the Crescent City where the past refuses to check out.
