Episode Details

Sunday night means easing gently into the week with an old favourite.

Tonight on Brett Orchard’s Old Time Radio Show, we’re heading back to Walmington-on-Sea for Dad’s Army: The Menace From The Deep.

One of Britain’s best-loved comedies, Dad’s Army has that wonderful mixture of gentle humour, familiar characters and wartime nostalgia — the sort of programme that still somehow carries the comforting feeling of Sunday evenings, family television and a much less hurried world.

Whether you grew up with Captain Mainwaring, Sergeant Wilson, Corporal Jones and Private Pike, or you’re discovering them for the first time, this is classic British comedy at its warmest.

So put the kettle on, get comfortable and let’s leave Monday behind for a little while.

Brett Orchard’s Old Time Radio Show — classic radio and late-night company every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
