Af: Liesl sit by die venster en kyk uit oor die groen lente landskap van Bloemfontein.
En: Liesl sits by the window and looks out over the green spring landscape of Bloemfontein.
Af: Heritage Day is nie vêr nie, maar vandag is iets anders aan die gang.
En: Heritage Day isn't far off, but today something else is happening.
Af: 'n Spannende plaaslike verkiesing laat die lug vol verwagting en spanning.
En: An exciting local election fills the air with anticipation and tension.
Af: Haar broer, Pieter, en vriendin, Annelie, het haar genooi om na die stemlokaal te gaan, en nou moet sy kies of sy gaan stem.
En: Her brother, Pieter, and friend, Annelie, have invited her to go to the polling station, and now she must choose whether to vote.
