Late payers. Omg. If you have an invoice, pay it. However, in your personal finances, always pay yourself first -- although there are some exceptions. I have a friend who works for a company that pays just before they're cut off in particular sectors within the company, and if I were someone dealing with that company on an individual basis, I would ask for upfront payment.
