Episode Details

There's a word today that can end a career overnight.
Almost nobody still agrees on what it actually means.

Most people think they know what antisemitism means. Fewer people know how recently that meaning changed, or who benefits from the confusion.

In this episode of The Conscious Man 7 Podcast, I sit down with Yaffah Batya daCosta, founder and CEO of Ezra L'Anousim, a thirty year educator on the roots of Jew hatred within the Church, and the author of Cancel Culture from Ancient to Modern Times, to explore how one word has been redefined, weaponised, and used as both a shield and a weapon in the modern world.

We unpack her own origin story, from the moment as a seven year old girl in a Catholic church when a priest called the Jews Christ killers, to the discovery decades later that her own family had hidden their Jewish identity for four hundred years, descendants of Spain and Portugal's forced converts who kept their true faith buried just to survive the Inquisition.

In this conversation we cover:

🔹 The secret four hundred year history of the Bnei Anousim, hidden Jews who survived the Inquisition
🔹 What really happened at the Council of Nicaea, and how it rewrote who Yehoshua was
🔹 Why the word “antisemitism” was invented in 1879, and exactly who it was built to protect
🔹 The real difference between hating a people and criticising a government
🔹 Why Israel's own immigration law shuts out many descendants of history's hidden Jews
🔹 The uncomfortable overlap between Zionism's biblical land claim and settler colonialism
🔹 The four ancient tools of cancel culture still being used against people today
🔹 Why she believes the world is being quietly steered toward one government, one system

You don't have to agree with her. You just deserve to hear the story from the other side before you decide.
