Description

Today’s reading from Psalm 146–147 and 1 Corinthians 15:1–28 invites us to consider what remains at the center when so many other things compete for our attention. Both passages call us back to foundational truths that steadily shape our trust, identity, and faith over time.

In Psalm 146–147, the rhythm of praise continually redirects attention toward God rather than human strength or temporary security. God’s faithfulness, care, power, and understanding become the foundation upon which His people learn to place their trust and understand who they are.

In 1 Corinthians 15, Paul calls believers back to the gospel they originally received and upon which they stand. Faced with questions surrounding resurrection, he begins with what matters most: Christ died for our sins, was buried, was raised, and appeared alive to many witnesses. Their response and calling must remain rooted in that good news.

Together, these passages invite us to reflect on what has gradually moved toward the center of our lives and faith. They remind us that formation involves repeatedly returning our attention to God and allowing the central truth of the gospel to shape everything else.
