Story Transcript:

Et: Kristiina seisis pisut närviliselt rahvarohkes valimisjaoskonnas.
En: Kristiina stood a bit nervously in the crowded polling station.

Et: Õues langesid kollased ja punased vahtralehed aeglaselt maapinnale, nende alla jäid hääletajate jäljed.
En: Outside, yellow and red maple leaves were slowly falling to the ground, leaving traces of voters beneath them.

En: The polling station was filled with people of all ages, all eager to cast their vote.

En: Kristiina glanced at her watch, contemplating the race against time.

En: She had planned so many activities for today that she needed to stick strictly to her schedule.

Et: Taavi, Kristiina parim sõber, lähenes rahulikult naeratus näol.
En: Taavi, Kristiina's best friend, approached with a calm smile on his face.

En: "Don't worry so much, Kristiina," Taavi said calmly.

En: He had always been the one to say that life shouldn't be taken too seriously.

En: But Kristiina was afraid that if she waited too long, she would miss out on the grocery store.

En: She knew the store was closing soon.

En: "I need to get to the store before it closes," Kristiina explained anxiously.

En: Just then, she noticed Marek, an acquaintance from her neighborhood, who was ahead in line.

En: She decided to take a risk and approached Marek to ask for a favor.

Et: "Marek," hüüdis Kristiina, "kas sa saaksid mu koha hoida, kuni ma kiiresti poes käin?"
En: "Marek," Kristiina called, "could you hold my spot while I quickly run to the store?"

Et: Marek naeratas ja noogutas mõistvalt.
En: Marek smiled and nodded understandingly.

Et: "Loomulikult, Kristiina, mine rahulikult."
En: "Of course, Kristiina, go ahead."

En: Kristiina thanked Marek and hurried across the street to the store.

En: The store was filled with the smell of apples and the freshness of newly baked bread filled the air.

En: She quickly took the necessary items into her shopping basket and headed toward the checkout.

En: However, when she got to the checkout, she saw a long line.

Et: Kõik tundus liialt aeglane.
En: Everything seemed too slow.

Et: Kristiina süda hakkas kiiremini lööma.
En: Kristiina's heart began to beat faster.

Et: Ta vaatas taas kella.
En: She checked her watch again.

Et: "Palun liigu kiiremini," mõtles ta endamisi.
En: "Please, move faster,"
