📌 THREE THINGS

1. The outside view on Ole Miss. Kevin lives in South Florida, isn't a Miami fan, and watched the semifinal. His read: Ole Miss was right there, they stopped Carson Beck, and with everything that happened around Lane Kiffin's exit before the playoff, they were a stop away from playing for a national championship. His conclusion is that Ole Miss deserves to be in the national conversation alongside Georgia and Texas.

2. The Brohm pattern, laid out with receipts. He is always dangerous as an underdog — Notre Dame as a home dog in 2023, at Clemson as a 10.5-point dog in 2024, at Miami as a 13.5-point dog last season. But Louisville opened against Austin Peay and Eastern Kentucky the last two years, so this is a genuine test out of the gate for a team replacing its quarterback, its top receiver and its three leading tacklers.

3. Why the Golding situation is different this time. Last season he was thrown into the playoff mid-stream when Kiffin left. This time he has had a full offseason, and Ole Miss returns its quarterback while Louisville does not.
