The State's police service is mourning the passing of former Commissioner Steve Gollschewski. He spent more than 45 years fighting crime and helping shepherd Queensland through floods, cyclones and a pandemic. A cattleman who lured his neighbours into a massacre over livestock has become Queensland's newest mass murderer. Darryl Young barely reacted when a jury convicted him of gunning down the family next door. A woman is fighting for life and four people are recovering in hospital after a forklift caught fire at a shipping container yard in Hemmant.
