Description

If you’re in Jefferson County and struggling with soaring electricity bills this summer, help is here—no appointment needed. The Community Action Agency of Northeast Alabama is offering LIHEAP cooling assistance on September 15th and 16th at their Birmingham office, 900 38th Street North, from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. First come, first served—so arrive early. If you’ve already received LIHEAP cooling aid since May, you’re not eligible this time. Bring your ID, Social Security card, unpaid power bill, and proof of income to apply on the spot and get relief before the heat peaks.
