📌 THREE THINGS
1. People assume the quarterback leads a football team. Wade's experience says everyone looks to the big guys — and if the offensive line is complacent, confused, or not making its calls out loud, the quarterback doesn't feel the comfort he had a year ago. Louisville is starting a quarterback making his first career start behind a line that lost ten scholarship players. Wade has lived the smaller version of this himself, graduating alongside Tutan Reyes and watching Ole Miss shuffle guards out to tackle.
2. His critique of Ole Miss is specific and it isn't flattery. The pass protection was good all of last season. The push wasn't. They were playing too high. What he wants Sunday is a four-yard rush average and moving chains — not explosives — because that takes the pressure off Trinidad Chambliss and changes what defenses can do the rest of the way.
3. Why he isn't panicked about right tackle. He expects Tommy Kinsler to settle in, and points out that Patrick Kutas next to him matters more than people realize — the guard makes a lot of the calls alongside the center, and having an experienced SEC veteran there gives a new tackle confidence. If it were a new right guard AND a new right tackle, that would worry him.
Plus his read on Isaac Brown in space, why the first two drives tell you everything, and a final score.
