Young and the Restless spoilers divulge that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) embarks on a risky venture to redeem the reputation of her new love interest, Matt Clark (Roger Howarth). Phyllis, known for her harebrained schemes, decides to stage a series of potential dangers for Sharon Newman (Sharon Case), all of which Matt will heroically prevent, thus proving his transformation to Genoa City's residents.

Y&R spoilers indicate that Phyllis's past exploits, including her disastrous plan to hoodwink Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) into thinking he fathered Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) and her ill-fated infidelity with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) while being married to Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), are notorious for backfiring. This time around, she involves an unsuspecting Matt, who is unaware of Phyllis's history of explosive plots.

Spoilers for Young and the Restless indicate that Phyllis's scheme involves putting Sharon in fake risky situations - like a rigged elevator, a simulated car accident, a set-up mugging, or a staged armed robbery - only for Matt to swoop in and rescue her.
