Partner: Gorilla Mind - Use code: 20
Special Guest: Ben Giles of Laughable Productions
This week on Move the Mic Stand, the boys are back with another episode packed with comedy, food, questionable decisions, and the kind of conversations that probably shouldn’t be recorded without a camera crew present.
And speaking of cameras…
We have a professional camera crew in the 3 Seasons Studios.
That’s right. Move the Mic Stand has officially reached the point where an actual professional camera crew is coming into the studio to film us.
What started as a couple of comedians sitting around microphones has apparently evolved into a legitimate video production. Multiple cameras, professional equipment, and people whose actual job is to make us look like we know what we’re doing.
The question is whether professional cameras can make Dean, Ka$h and Stan look professional.
Probably not.
But we’re going to find out.
Dean opens the episode with the usual combination of observations, stories, and whatever else has been rattling around in his head since the last recording.
Ben Giles joins the show for another appearance, bringing his usual perspective, stories and comedy into the mix and to promote the upcoming finale to Oshkosh’s Funniest Comedy Competition.
Thank you, Beyoncé
Somehow Beyoncé makes her way into the conversation. As usual, there is probably a perfectly reasonable explanation for why we’re talking about her.
The guys get into some Gorilla Mind talk, because apparently we haven’t already consumed enough caffeine and questionable amounts of energy before sitting down to record.
Comedy Tip: Don’t Ask for Applause
Stan shares another comedy tip, this time focusing on one of the cardinal rules of performing comedy: Don’t ask the audience to applaud you.
If you have to ask for applause, you’ve already lost.
Hittin’ Up The Food Stan
Stan brings another food-related topic to the table, and this week it’s pizza.
Because there are few things more capable of starting an argument than asking people what makes a pizza actually good.
Money Talks 5
The Money Talks segment returns with more insightful money bits that only KA$H MONEY KARL can provide.
WTF — Watch This Film
This week’s WTF movie is The Ultimate Weapon.
Yes, THAT Ultimate Weapon.
Dean gives the movie a WTF rating of 2.0 WTFs, while the GWI rating comes in at 3.6.
Once again, we’re watching movies so you don’t have to. Unless you want to that is.
Pinball Play
This week’s pinball game is the classic that is, Comet. The first pinball to incorporate ramps and a MILLION point shot!
Limited-Time Oreo Flavor Tasting
The crew takes on a limited-time Oreo flavor in another food tasting segment.
Because apparently we have decided that putting random
