If the last few days felt like the NFL hit the pause button and then immediately hit fast-forward, you're not alone. The 53 is set. The practice squad is basically done. And now we're staring at a regular season that starts in less than two weeks with a whole bunch of "we'll see." So let's talk about what's actually happened in the last handful of hours and what it means for the future.

First, the practice squad got a couple more pieces today. Long snapper Scott Daly is in. Kicker Lenny Krieg is back on the international spot. That's the boring but necessary stuff that keeps the special teams room from turning into a circus. Kedon Solovis is already here as the third quarterback after McCord got shipped to Miami. A bunch of the guys who got cut Sunday are back on the practice squad — Strong, Mosby, Kenion, the usual suspects. It's the standard "we like you, just not enough to keep you on the 53" club.
