Story Transcript:

Sk: Vo svetle letného slnka, ktoré prenikalo cez veľké okná kancelárie, vládol v miestnosti chaotický ruch.
En: In the light of the summer sun streaming through the large office windows, a chaotic bustle ruled the room.

Sk: Boli na pokraji dôležitého stretnutia.
En: They were on the brink of an important meeting.

Sk: Ivana, ambiciózna mladá manažérka, stála pri svojom stole, pohľad uprený do počítača.
En: Ivana, an ambitious young manager, stood by her desk, gaze fixed on the computer.

Sk: Mala pre kolegov pripraviť dôležité dokumenty na prezentáciu, no jeden dokument chýbal.
En: She was supposed to prepare important documents for the presentation for her colleagues, but one document was missing.

Sk: Ladislav, skúsený, no občas lenivý vedúci, prišiel k Ivaninmu stolu.
En: Ladislav, an experienced but occasionally lazy supervisor, came to Ivana's desk.

Sk: „Ivana,“ povedal so závanom nervozity v hlase, „ten dokument na stretnutie si už pripravila?
En: "Ivana," he said with a hint of nervousness in his voice, "have you prepared that document for the meeting yet?"

Sk: “„Ladislav, stále ho nemám.
En: "Ladislav, I still don't have it.

Sk: Niekde sa stratil,“ odpovedala Ivana rýchlo.
En: It got lost somewhere," Ivana replied quickly.

Sk: Okamžite si uvedomila vážnosť situácie.
En: She immediately realized the seriousness of the situation.

Sk: Chcela sa osvedčiť a dokázať, že je schopná povýšenia.
En: She wanted to prove herself and demonstrate that she was capable of a promotion.

Sk: Marta, nová stážistka, stála opodiaľ, neistá ako zasiahnuť.
En: Marta, a new intern, stood nearby, unsure of how to intervene.

Sk: Ivana sa otočila k Marte.
En: Ivana turned to Marta.

Sk: „Marta, potrebujem tvoju pomoc.
En: "Marta, I need your help.

Sk: Snažme sa byť diskrétne.
En: Let's try to be discreet.

Sk: Tento dokument musíme nájsť.
En: We have to find this document."

Sk: “Marta prikývla a obe sa pustili do pátrania.
En: Marta nodded, and the two of them set out on the search.

Sk: Kancelária bola ako úľ, každý oddeľovač z priehľadného skla a každý pohyb zamestnancov priamo v ich zornom poli.
En: The office was like a beehive, with every glass-panel divider and every employee's movement directly in their line of sight.

Sk: Bolo počuť šuštanie papierov, klepkanie prstov na klávesniciach a tlmené rozhovory nesúcich sa vzduchom.
En: The rustling of papers, the tapping of fingers on keyboards, and muted conversations filled the air.

Sk: „Ivana, myslíš, že by to mohol byť len omyl?
En: "Ivana, do you think it might just be a mistake?

Sk: Niekto ho možno len premiestnil,“ navrhla Marta placho.
En: Maybe someone just relocated it," Marta suggested timidly.

Sk: V tom momente Ivana zazrela hromadu recyklácie pri Ladislavovom stole.
En: At that moment, Ivana noticed a pile of recycling by Ladislav's desk.

Sk: „Ladislav, mohli by sme tam pozrieť?
En: "Ladislav, could we look there?"

Sk: “ opýtala sa.
En: she asked.

Sk: Ladislav na chvíľu zneistel, potom zrazu súhlasil.
En: Ladislav hesitated for a moment, then suddenly agreed.

Sk: Siedli si vedľa hromady a začali triediť.
En: They sat down next to the pile and began sorting.

Sk: Našli dokument, zmiešaný s inými papiermi určenými na recykláciu.
