Today’s episode is titled “A Strategy for Renewal.” And that title, I think, captures the heartbeat of 2 Chronicles 15. This is a chapter that shows us how God renews His people, not by accident, not by emotion, not through crisis, although he can and does all of those things. But instead through a clear, God‑given strategy.
Renewal is not just for moments of desperation; it can happen in moments of calm. Renewal is also for the seasons of blessing and can be part of the everyday rhythm of life.
Chapter 15 will also teach us that renewal begins with listening to God’s Word and continues by seeking God wholeheartedly, but renewal requires courageous obedience, and renewal is sustained by perseverance, not emotion.
It is a chapter about how God rebuilds a life, how He restores a nation, and how He strengthens His people for the long haul. And it can speak directly into our lives today, because every believer needs renewal. Not just once, and not just in crisis, but again and again, in good times and bad.
It is a chapter about consistency, perseverance, and wholehearted devotion, themes that again run straight into the New Testament, where Jesus calls us to abide in Him, and where Paul urges us to continue steadfastly in the grace of God.
