A General Hospital LEAK brings a shocking turn of events as Jack Brennan's (Chris McKenna) unexpected death may implicate Carly Corinthos Spencer (Laura Wright) in a murder case. Jack's untimely demise follows a series of unfortunate events, which started with Ava Jerome (Maura West) drugging the WSB station chief, leading to him becoming groggy and stumbling into a pool. With Carly's security cameras at Metro Court conveniently down and alarms deactivated, suspicions arise when Jack is found in the pool, apparently drowned. Carly's longstanding hatred for Jack, triggered by his recruitment of her daughter Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), could potentially paint her as a suspect.

The GH storyline sees further complications arise when it is discovered that Willow Tate (Katelyn MacMullen) has secretly recorded Brennan confessing to erasing footage of her shooting Drew Cain Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison), leading to Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), who is desperate to protect Willow, considering implicating Carly to divert attention. Drew might also implicate Carly, as he discovers his office has been ransacked and his secret files are missing, and Carly's hotel is the scene of the crime.

General Hospital theories consider other possible suspects include Nina, who was seen arguing with Jack in public, and Willow, who was nearby at the Metro Court when Jack died. However, with Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) suspecting Willow of pushing Drew into the lake, the plot thickens. Whether Carly will be able to clear her name or if she will take the fall for a crime she didn't commit, remains to be seen.
