Tucson Amphi Neighborhood Plans Street Safety Project
Description
This Saturday, Amphi neighbors will turn an ordinary intersection into a vibrant community gathering place and take action to make their neighborhood safer. On Saturday, September 5, from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m., Living Streets Alliance (LSA) and the Amphi Women and Girls Union will host the Amphi Block Painting Party at Fontana Avenue and Navajo Road. Residents, families and community members are invited to help paint a colorful intersection mural and five traffic calming chicanes designed to slow vehicle speeds and improve safety.
