Description
He's flying to Europe to speak to the EU Parliament this week. Ottawa is a different story. Jimmy Zoubris and Lesley Kelly start here, and neither one lets it slide easily.
Then comes the part making headlines out of Washington. Commerce Secretary Lutnick has put specific numbers, timelines, and demands on the record about what happened at the table, including a claim about pickup trucks added at the eleventh hour on a Friday afternoon. Jimmy has one clear reason to doubt him. Lesley has a harder question about why Canadians are hearing any of this from the American side at all.
By the end, Jimmy and Lesley are not standing in the same spot. One draws a hard line around what should stay private. The other wants the Prime Minister in the hot seat before the week is out.
