Description
If you’ve ever looked at someone’s behaviour and thought, there’s no light in them, this one will challenge you in the best way. From Kehenna Beach Estates on the Big Island, I walk slowly through A Course in Miracles Chapter 3, Section 4 on innocent perception, focusing on a radical claim: nobody gets through a lifetime without experiencing some light and some of everything. Not hearing about truth, not agreeing with it, but actually touching it, even for an instant.
We unpack what “some light” looks like in ordinary life: a moment of peace, a softening of a grievance, the joy of giving without trying to get, a sudden sense of safety that has nothing to do with circumstances. Then we go deeper into “some of everything” as a reflection of wholeness that makes total emptiness impossible. That’s why no mind can deny truth totally, even when it seems to live in fear most of the time. The ego has to keep arguing, defending, and recruiting “proof,” because something in the mind remains unconvinced.
From there we get practical: how to recognise patterns of fear without turning them into anyone’s identity, how self-deception props up a self-concept, and why control, judgment, and even activism can become ego strategies for safety. We also talk about “lasting solace” and why quick fixes, distractions, and addiction-like comfort cycles never mature into peace.
