The federal Attorney-General says you could soon exercise the 'right to erasure' and ask large digital platforms to destroy your personal information.

Under the government's proposal for new privacy protections, companies would no longer be able to justify collecting more information than they need.

Then a Melbourne based geologist and engineer is helping Nepali authorities try to save hundreds of workers trapped in hydro-project tunnels deep in the mountains following deadly floods last week.
