Lon Strickler is a respected Fortean researcher, author, and publisher of the syndicated Phantoms & Monsters blog. Launched in 2005, the site has grown into a popular destination for paranormal enthusiasts, investigators, experiencers, and anyone searching for answers about the unexplained. Lon has spent decades collecting and investigating reports involving Bigfoot, cryptids, UFOs, strange humanoids, supernatural encounters, and unexplained phenomena. His research has been featured across hundreds of media outlets and on television programs including History Channel's Ancient Aliens, Syfy's Paranormal Witness and Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files, and Destination America's Monsters and Mysteries in America. He is also the author of nine books and host of the Phantoms & Monsters Podcast.

Born and raised in south-central Pennsylvania near the historic Gettysburg battlefield, Lon developed a lifelong fascination with strange encounters and unexplained phenomena. After spending approximately 40 years in the Baltimore, Maryland area, he returned to his hometown in 2016, where he continues researching witness reports and documenting some of the strangest cases from around the world. Through Phantoms & Monsters, Lon gives experiencers a place to tell their stories while searching for answers to mysteries that often defy conventional explanation.
