Parker Messick has planted his name firmly with MLB's impressive 2026 rookie class. Can he vault himself to win the Rookie of the Year or earn a strong Cy Young finish and carry the Guardians to the playoffs? What does it mean for the Guardians’ future draft implications? Justin Lada and Jeff Ellis break down the competitive AL rookie class, highlight Messick’s standout numbers, and debate the quirks of MLB’s prospect promotion incentives—all while weighing Travis Bazzana’s and Kevin McGonigle’s awards chances. We also touch on the Blue Jays series that looms large and September callups Daniel Schneemann and Carlos Hernandez. Will they make a difference in the playoff race?
