Orlando Bennett on Training With Oblique Seville, Jamaican 110H History & Almost Quitting the Sport
Description
Orlando Bennett has quickly become one of the most dangerous athletes in the world over the past few years. in 2025, he won a silver medal in the 110H becoming just the 4th Jamaican athlete in history to stand on the podium at either the Olympic or World Championships in the event.
Prior to that, he had come so close so many times, including making the finals at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. But Orlando is still looking for more, and despite the very competitive 110H landscape right now, he feels the world silver medal was just a stepping stone towards more success in the future.
In our conversation with Orlando, Freddie and Anderson learn about his place in Jamaican 110H history, how he manages pressure, training with Oblique Seville under coach Glenn Mills and how he almost quit the sport right before the 2024 Olympic Games.
