Description
The City of Phoenix has paved 200 miles of Cool Pavement on its streets, with crews applying the reflective coating near 65th Drive and Crown King Road in west Phoenix as the milestone came into reach. It is one of the largest heat mitigation efforts the city has undertaken, and it marks a more than fivefold expansion since the program's first 36 miles went down in 2020.
