Description
One day, the strength, energy, eyesight, hearing, and abilities we take for granted will begin to fade. Ecclesiastes 12:3–5 gives us a vivid picture of the later stages of life—but the passage isn't primarily written to tell older people what aging looks like. It is written to tell us what to do before we get there.
“Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth…” — Ecclesiastes 12:1
Youth isn't only a season we leave behind in our teens or twenties. Whatever our age, today is younger than we will ever be again. Instead of waiting for “someday” to serve God, obey Him, witness, pray, give, or surrender, Scripture calls us to remember our Creator now.
In this episode of Renew, we consider Ecclesiastes 12:1–5 and the urgency of giving God the strength, opportunities, abilities, and years He has placed in our hands today.
