From Lakebed to Liftoff, the Helldiver's Recovery Story: Winged Victory "Classic"

Season 2 Episode 50 Published 2 weeks ago
Description

Winged Victory podcast crew are going through some personnel changes so while we sort that out and after having just experienced the 3 Helldivers history making flight together we thought it extremely appropriate to revisit one of our favorite episodes.  Rob, Scott and special guest host Don Johnson sit down with Matt McCauley and talk about his time as a teenager recovering Jim Slattery's SB2C-1A out of Lake Washington in the Seattle area in the early 80's.  It is an amazing tale of what some "kids" could accomplish when they decided to pull this and other airplanes out of the water.  This is a must listen!
We should be back in a few weeks with new original content as well as a fresh new look!  In the meantime enjoy this fan favorite episode!
