✔️ Construction costs have risen significantly
✔️ Land, compliance and taxes add further costs
✔️ Developers still need a viable margin
✔️ A mix of 1, 2 & 3 bedroom apartments may be required
✔️ In some areas, the end sale price simply doesn’t cover the total cost
The result? Developers with the money, experience and capacity to build may choose to sit on the sidelines.
More density might be approved, but if a project isn’t financially viable, will it actually get built? 🤔
