Story Transcript:

Sk: Vo vzduchu visel jemný zvuk zvončeka nad dverami, keď Viera vstúpila do útulnej knihy-kaviarne v srdci Bratislavy.
En: A gentle sound of a bell above the door lingered in the air as Viera entered the cozy book-café in the heart of Bratislava.

Sk: Bolo koncom leta a v kaviarni sa miešala vôňa čerstvej kávy a sladkej vône papierových stránok.
En: It was late summer, and the café was filled with the aroma of fresh coffee and the sweet scent of paper pages.

Sk: Police boli plné, niektoré knihy boli staré, iné nové – každá čakajúca na svojho čitateľa.
En: The shelves were packed, some books old, others new—each waiting for its reader.

Sk: Viera, mladá a uzavretá, si najčastejšie vyberala miesto v kúte, kde si mohla nerušene čítať.
En: Viera, young and introverted, usually chose a spot in the corner where she could read undisturbed.

Sk: Dnes mala voľnú ruku a cítila nutkanie nájsť niečo o slovenskom folklóre, aby oživila svoju novú knihu.
En: Today she had a free hand and felt the urge to find something about Slovak folklore to enliven her new book.

Sk: Kráčala pomaly popri regáloch a jej zrak narazil na knihu o slovenských povestiach.
En: She walked slowly past the shelves, and her eyes landed on a book about Slovak tales.

Sk: Natiahla sa po knihu, keď v tom momente druhá ruka natiahla po tú istú knihu.
En: She reached for the book when, at that moment, another hand stretched for the same book.

Sk: „Ach, prepáčte,“ povedal Jozef, muž so šibalským úsmevom a kresliacim zápisníkom pod pazuchou.
En: "Oh, pardon me," said Jozef, a man with a mischievous smile and a sketchbook under his arm.

Sk: „Nie je problém,“ usmiala sa Viera neisto.
En: "No problem," Viera smiled uncertainly.

Sk: „Vy máte záujem o slovenský folklór?
En: "Are you interested in Slovak folklore?"

Sk: “Jozef prikývol, jeho oči svietili záujmom.
En: Jozef nodded, his eyes shining with interest.

Sk: „Áno, veľmi ma zaujíma kombinovanie starých príbehov s moderným dizajnom.
En: "Yes, I'm very interested in combining old stories with modern design."

Sk: “ Viera pocítila pocit sympatie.
En: Viera felt a sense of sympathy.

Sk: „To znie zaujímavo,“ odpovedala opatrne.
En: "That sounds interesting," she replied cautiously.

Sk: Usadili sa spolu pri stole, z ktorého bolo dobre vidieť na ulicu.
En: They sat together at a table with a good view of the street.

Sk: Jozef otvoril svoj zápisník, odhalil rôzne skice, ktoré ukazovali jeho umelecký talent.
En: Jozef opened his sketchbook, revealing various sketches that showcased his artistic talent.

Sk: „Hľadám niekoho, kto by sa so mnou pustil do projektu,“ priznal sa a dal jej kamarátom dokumenty.
En: "I'm looking for someone to embark on a project with me," he admitted and handed her some documents.

Sk: Viera bola trochu zaskočená, no niečo v Jozefových očiach jej dalo odvahu.
En: Viera was a bit taken aback, but something in Jozef's eyes gave her courage.

Sk: „Možno by sme mohli spolupracovať na príbehu.
En: "Maybe we could collaborate on a story.

Sk: Čítali ste niekedy o Královnej Dunaja?
En: Have you ever read about the Queen of the Danube?"

Sk: “ navrhla.
En: she suggested.

Sk: Jozef očami zasvietil.
En: Jozef's eyes lit up.

Sk: „Znie to ako skvelý nápad.
En: "That sounds like a great idea."
