Episode Details

The episode details Ridley Scott's plan to personally direct a new entry in the Alien franchise, focusing on finishing the narrative arc of the android David from the prequel films. This creative shift follows the successful theatrical run of Alien: Romulus, yet it suggests that a direct continuation of that specific story may be delayed or altered. Scott intends to bridge the gap between his previous works, Prometheus and Alien: Covenant, to address unresolved plot points regarding artificial intelligence. While 20th Century Studios maintains that the series remains on track, Scott’s active involvement indicates a tonal realignment back toward his original vision. Consequently, the future of the sci-fi horror series appears to prioritize concluding the established prequel trilogy over immediate new spin-offs.
