Bud brings an unusually varied background to his writing. Having lived and worked on two continents, his life experiences include psychology, teaching, and paramedic work. That combination gives him plenty of material for looking at family, children, teenagers, grandchildren, aging, relationships, loss, and some of life's more serious struggles. His writing has been described as easygoing, humorous, straightforward, and filled with homespun wisdom—almost like sitting down for a conversation with a trusted friend or grandfather. During this entertaining and thoughtful conversation, Rob and Bud explore the experiences behind It’s a Buddy’s World, including family life, parenting, getting older, embarrassing moments, love, loss, and the strange situations ordinary people somehow manage to find themselves in.
