Our Miss Brooks - "School on Saturday" (Old Time Radio, 1956)
Published 1 month, 2 weeks ago
Description
Our Miss Brooks presents “School on Saturday,” originally broadcast on January 29, 1956. This is episode 326 of the classic CBS comedy starring Eve Arden as English teacher Connie Brooks, with Gale Gordon as the formidable Principal Osgood Conklin.
As a new semester nears, Conklin’s decision to keep Madison High School open on Saturday sparks student opposition and unwanted attention from the Board of Education. Connie finds herself trying to navigate the mounting pressure without worsening the situation. The 1956 broadcast reuses the script from the January 29, 1950 episode of the same title.
Old Time Retro Radio presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
