In this mailbag episode of Beatline, hosts Paige and Craig answer fan questions about New York City FC's playoff chances after a 1-1 draw at LA Galaxy. They break down the 7-6-8 record, the late-game issues that cost points against Cincinnati and Philadelphia, and why Matt Freese's five saves and James Sands' goal-line clearance are reasons for optimism.

The conversation shifts to the striker battle between Nicolás Fernández and Malachi Jones, and whether the team has enough depth behind Thiago Martins. The hosts also debate which MLS star they'd add to the squad, with Gabriel Pec and Hany Mukhtar among the names, and they revisit their prediction that NYCFC will finish between 6th and 9th in the East.

Finally, a lightning round covers the most underrated player, the team's playoff ceiling, and a fun hypothetical about Lionel Messi. Listeners from Rochester, Denver, and Brooklyn submitted questions, and the show ends with the rallying cry: 'Let's go, New York!'
