Bryan Kohberger’s defense team assembled a wide-ranging group of experts as it prepared for trial, signaling that it intended to challenge the prosecution on virtually every major category of evidence. Taken together, the expert disclosures showed that Kohberger’s attorneys were preparing for a highly technical trial in which they planned to contest not only what the evidence appeared to show, but also the scientific methods, assumptions and investigative procedures used to produce those conclusions.
