Gaea Star Crystal Radio Hour #683 is an inspired hour of dynamic visionary acoustic music played by The Gaea Star Band with Mariam Massaro on vocals, Native and double flute, acoustic guitar, nylon-stringed guitar, kalimba, Celtic harp, ukulele and shruti box, Bob Sherwood on piano anand d today’s very special guest Robin Rooney on djembe, rainstick and vocals.  Recorded live at Singing Brook Studio in Worthington, Massachusetts in mid-August of 2026, today’s show begins with the lush, evocative rain anthem, “Oh, The Rains”, a driving piece with fine vocals from Mariam and Robin, driving djembe and restless, grooving piano.  “Open The Way” is a relaxed, gospel-tinged folk song with more affecting vocals and chiming acoustic guitar and “In The Midst” is a mystical, mysterious piece featuring fine vocals and a fine ensemble of ukulele, piano and throbbing djembe grooves from Robin.  The sprawling, hypnotic medley of “Distant Star” and “This Is The Way” follows as the band drifts into a rich, varied reverie decorated with soaring Native flute and powerful harmonies and countermelodies from Mariam and Robin.  “Return To The Wisdom Way” is a relaxed, hypnotic drone piece built from the foundation of Mariam’s sighing shruti box, lyrical harmonica and Robin’s earth heartbeat rhythm and featuring a fine vocal from Mariam and “Always Whispering Yes To Manifest Our Dreams” is an exciting, driving race between rocking djembe, nimble piano and soaring double flute.  We complete today’s show with Mariam’s classic “Gypsy”, a swirling, dancing tale with fine vocal interplay and musical twists and turns.
