Published 1 month, 2 weeks ago
Description
The Abbott And Costello Show presents “The Lewis - Conn Fight,” originally broadcast on June 20, 1946. The episode is listed as No. 141 in one archival catalog.
The day after the Joe Louis–Billy Conn heavyweight rematch, Bud Abbott is planning a special dinner for his girlfriend and enlists Lou Costello as a butler. With Melonhead offering lessons in proper service and a cook still needed, the evening’s preparations give Abbott and Costello plenty of room for domestic-comedy confusion. The NBC program also features vocalist Amy Arnell and Carl Hoff’s orchestra.
The Abbott And Costello Show presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
