Description
Fort Laramie presents “Talented Recruits,” episode 24 of the CBS frontier drama, originally broadcast July 8, 1956. The episode was written by Kathleen Hite and produced and directed by Norman Macdonnell.

Two hungry and highly unconventional volunteers arrive at Fort Laramie: Granville Merriweather, a Shakespearean actor, and Finney, a snake-tonic salesman. As Captain Lee Quince weighs their prospects as cavalry recruits, reports of Crazy Horse gathering warriors make the demands of frontier soldiering increasingly urgent. Raymond Burr stars as Captain Quince, with John Dehner and Parley Baer as the unlikely new recruits.

Fort Laramie presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
