Episode Details

Houston Cougars face major disrespect as only Shadre Hurst cracks the Locked On Sports Network’s Top 100 college football players—at a shocking No. 98. Should Hurst—an All-American guard and Bruce Feldman Freaks List member—really rank this low behind 14 other offensive linemen? Are standout Cougars like Conner Weigman, Will James, and Amare Thomas being overlooked as Houston eyes another Big 12 run?

Parker Ainsworth breaks down why Houston’s elite defense and high-powered offense deserve more national recognition, assesses the “prove-it tax” Cougar players are paying, and updates the eligibility saga surrounding Stephon “Boogie” Johnson, Ethan Sanchez, and new transfer Myles Rowser. With discussions on court rulings, transfer protocol, and the Cougars’ reload for the season, this episode spotlights Houston’s quest for respect and whether they can silence doubters on the field. Can the Cougars convert preseason slights into Big 12 wins?
