Knowing what I know now

We use this phrase when we look back on a past situation with the knowledge, experience, or perspective we have today. It often introduces something we would do differently now.

Example:

Imagine you bought a very cheap laptop because you wanted to save money.

At first, it seemed like a good deal.

But within a year, the battery stopped lasting, the computer became painfully slow, and you ended up replacing it much sooner than expected.

Looking back, you say:

“Knowing what I know now, I would have spent a little more and bought a better one.”
