We Are Family!: Where Do Homeless Youths in Singapore Go?
Description
What happens when a young person has nowhere to call home?
Strained family relationships, addiction or repeated run-ins with the law can leave youths sleeping in public spaces or struggling to find somewhere safe after leaving the Reformative Training Centre. A new initiative by Youth Guidance Outreach Services aims to fill this gap, offering homeless youths aged 18 to 25 housing and support to rebuild their lives.
On We Are Family, we speak with Executive Director of Youth Guidance Outreach Service, Wilson Tan about homelessness, family breakdown and what it takes to find stability again.
