Published 1 month, 3 weeks ago
Description
The Abbott And Costello Show presents “New Press Agent,” originally broadcast on NBC on March 8, 1945. Identified as episode 90, this archival comedy stars Bud Abbott and Lou Costello.
Bud hires press agent Needle to improve Lou’s public image, beginning with a farm-themed publicity stunt that gives the pair ample room for fast wordplay. The fun later shifts to a Hollywood-inspired desert adventure involving Turkish film star Turhan Bey, Princess Ben-Ali, and a comic Arabian setting. Written by Don Prindle and Ed Forman.
