30 Years of Steam and UEFI For Raspberry Pi!

30 Years of Steam and UEFI For Raspberry Pi!

Published 3 weeks ago
Description

Happy 35th Birthday to Linux! We put on our old people hats and look back at the early days of wrestling with Slackware installs, and surviving CRT-killing configs. We also cover 30 years of Valve and how Proton, SteamOS, and handheld hardware are driving desktop Linux forward. Plus, we test the native Linux recompilation port of Soulcalibur II (GameCube edition with Link!) and spend an afternoon running generic ARM Linux installers on a Raspberry Pi 4 using UEFI firmware.

Video version of the show is available to Patrons, along with the Extended Chaos podcast featuring over an extra hour of LWDW content every week.
