Two police officers were seriously injured when a van allegedly struck them during an investigation in Larkhall on July 25th. After a month-long sweep across Lanarkshire and the Scottish Borders, authorities arrested 32-year-old Declan McLaren on August 25th, charging him with two counts of attempted murder, three traffic offenses, and perverting the course of justice. He remains in custody and is set to appear in court within eight days. Additionally, 59-year-old Sharon Pollock also appeared in court facing a perverting-the-course-of-justice charge, was granted bail, and will return for another hearing.
