Nancy Grace just interviewed Josh Gill, an inspector commander with the United Cajun Navy, and I have a LOT to say about this interview.

I already have serious questions about the United Cajun Navy, and in my opinion, this interview felt staged and designed to shift the narrative surrounding Nolan Xavier Wells.

Josh revealed information about Christine and Elmore that we were never privy to and, quite frankly, information I don’t believe we needed to know.

He spoke about how compassionate the sheriff was during the search. This is the same sheriff who came out early and said there was no evidence of foul play.

Josh then described Christine’s reaction when Nolan’s body was found, saying she was frantic and that they were both on the floor crying for approximately 15 minutes. Why did we need to know that? If Christine wanted the public to know those intimate details about one of the worst moments of her life, she could have shared them herself.

Then came the part that really bothered me.

Josh described Elmore as “stoic” and quiet. In my opinion, that characterization could leave viewers with the impression that Elmore was somehow cold or reacted differently than Christine. Two parents can process unimaginable grief completely differently, and I question why this comparison was necessary at all.

Josh also brought up the coroner reportedly seeing no evidence of foul play. Once again, I believe this interview was attempting to reinforce a specific narrative about what happened to Nolan.

BUT there was one part of the interview that immediately caught my attention.

Nancy Grace brought in an experienced investigator who said that in the drowning cases he has investigated, when someone drowns in a particular location, that is generally where the person remains. He questioned Nolan being found on the sand and said bodies normally don’t just move around.

That raises a HUGE question for me.

If Nolan drowned in the water, how did he end up on the sand?

Could Nolan have been moved or placed there afterward?

Tonight, we’re breaking down this entire Nancy Grace interview, what Josh Gill revealed about Christine and Elmore, why I believe parts of this conversation were unnecessary and potentially narrative shifting, and the one statement about Nolan’s body that may have created even MORE questions about what happened on that island.
