The Supreme Court has handed President Donald Trump a major victory in his push to impose new restrictions on mail-in voting ahead of the 2026 midterm elections.

In a 6–3 decision, the Supreme Court lifted a lower court injunction that had prevented key portions of Trump's executive order on mail voting from being implemented in 23 states and Washington, D.C. The order calls for major changes involving voter eligibility lists, federal agencies, and the handling of mail ballots by the U.S. Postal Service. However, additional legal challenges remain, and the Supreme Court has not yet decided whether Trump's order is ultimately constitutional.
