A guest booked a 4-day VRBO stay for over $500 and never responded to a single message - not at booking, not before check-in, not during the stay. When the hosts arrived for turnover at noon, the house looked untouched, as if no one had stayed there at all. They never heard from the guest and still don't know if anyone actually checked in.

The hosts discuss cleaning strategies, including whether guests should handle their own turnovers for a refund of the $100 cleaning fee. They cover TurnoverBnB's three-dollar platform fee, a firing story involving Craigslist cleaners who left dirty linens piled on the floor, and homeshare guest preferences - one guest admitted he booked because he spotted Lowry's Seasoning Salt in a kitchen photo and figured it had to be a Black host. Other topics: Open Door's app letting buyers tour homes without agents, Amazon HQ2 going to New York and Virginia instead of Dallas, and 2019 plans including a cruise and hunting for a fourth investment property.
