Kendi, the bestselling author of How to Be an Antiracist, returns to Lawrence for a powerful conversation about his new book, Chain of Ideas: The Origins of Our Authoritarian Age—exploring how conspiracy theories and democratic erosion took root in America. Joining him is Shawn Alexander, chair of KU’s African and African American Studies department, for an urgent dialogue on today’s most critical issues. The event takes place Monday, September 14th, 7–9 PM at the Lawrence Arts Center. Free, but registration required via the Lawrence Public Library. Books available for purchase and signing afterward.
