A Texas mother was found dead in her bathtub after her two young daughters missed school and police were called to their home for a welfare check. Investigators soon focused on her estranged husband, Brandon Garrett, who claimed he was out of town and had been desperately trying to reach Jesika, but his story began to unravel during a tense interrogation. Garrett eventually admitted he had been at Jesika’s home, but police said his account of how she died did not match the evidence, and he was later convicted of killing his wife and sentenced to life in prison.
