The Orlando Magic and Atlanta Hawks were both teams in the hunt in the Eastern Conference last year. But after fairly quiet offseasons, they are both being forgotten in the scheme of the East. They are both very capable of contending with the top teams and being a surprise team in the East. Brad Rowland of Locked On Hawks joins to do an early preview of the Magic's opening night game against the Hawks and a look ahead to the season.

The Hawks caught lightning in a bottle with a strong finish to last season, climbing to the 6-seed and pushing the New York Knicks to six games. Can the Hawks find that spark again and prove their egalitarian roster is a viable way to build?

Or will the Magic get their revenge, reclaim the Southeast Division and climb the standings themselves? The Magic have their own questions to answer as they face a pressure-packed season where they must compete or face being broken up to avoid the apron restrictions.
